RANGE OF EXPERIMENTS TO BE CARRIED OUT :
- Study of RTD in Batch Reactor. .
- To determine the residence time distribution in the Batch Reactor for pulse and step inputs.
TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION :
The set up consist of plug flow reactor and stirred tank reactor arranged in series in which the reaction is carried out. The flow rate of reactant is measured by the Rota meter. The temperature is measured by sensor.
Experimental Setup
- Reactor : Material Stainless steel (SS) .
- Stirrer : 1 No.SS impeller and shaft coupled to FHP Motor.
- Piping : SS, PVC.
- Setup Mounting : On sturdy MS stand with powder coated.
CHEMICALS REQUIRED:
NaOH, Ethyl Acetate ,HCL , Phenolphthalein indicator , Distilled water.
SERVICE REQUIRED:
- Air Supply: @ 6 CFM at 4 kg/cm2
- Power Supply: 230 V, 50 Hx. A.C.
