TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION :
The apparatus consists of Heat pipe and other two pipes of different materials for reference. The heat pipe is a device of very high thermal conductance. It transfers heat by boiling a fluid at one end & condensing it at another .Auto transformer is provided for varying the input to the heater & measurement of input is carried out by a voltmeter, ammeter.
Thermocouples are fixed along the length of pipes, to read the temperature at the surface. The experiments can be conducted at various values of input & calculation can be made accordingly.
