• To determine emissivity of test plate.
• To Observe & calculate The radiant energy perunit time area from the surface of the test body at various temperature.
• The experiments can be conducted at various values of input & calculation can be made accordingly.

TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION :

The experimental set up consists of two circular Aluminum plates identical in size & is provided with heating coils sandwiched. The plates are mounted on brackets & are kept in an enclosure so as to provide undisturbed natural convection surroundings.The heat input to the heater is varied by separate Autotransformer& is measured by using an ammeter & a voltmeter with the help of double throw switch. The temperature of the plates are measured by thermocouples.
