RANGE OF EXPERIMENTS TO BE CARRIED OUT :
- To Measure the Pressure using mecleod gauge.
TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION :
This is the absolute measuring instrument for vacuum which gives pressure exerted by permanent gases. The gauge works on the principle of Boyel’s law of gases. Two parallel capillary tube are connected to a common mercury bowl. The rise of mercury column in the capillary gives the vacuum in mm/hg.This McLeod vacuum gauge is a tilting gauge with a constant zero overflow which eliminates the capillary-depression error from an expanding meniscus The SETUP Consist of glass body, stand with joint and scale.
