TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION :
Measurement of Displacement is very important requirement from Industrial & other Applications point of view. And LVDT is a very popularly used transducer for the same.Here a typically constructed LVDT is provided with its two way moving core, to sense the actual displacement to be measured. So as to move the core with controlled displacement. user can apply a controlled displacement with direct measurement of applied Displacement on a Scale. Means a ready comparison is available, to get Actual Displacement Vs Indicated.
Here construction of LVDT is very typical. Primary winding is at center; whereas Secondary windings are placed on both adjacent sides of Primary. But Secondary windings are wound & connected in series opposition manner. So when moving core is at center position then effective output at Secondary is zero. And as core moves in any direction w. r. t. center position, correspondingly one can see the output, which is proportional to applied displacement.
